There are now more than 300,000 residents living in Jewish West Bank settlements, according to a Israel Defense Forces Civil Administration report covering the first half of 2009. As of June 30, the settlements had 304,569 residents, an increase of 2.3 percent since January. So, Obama can take a hike, he picked a wrong fight. To all US tax payers. Israel receives about 3 Bln dollars in aid each year from the US taxpayer. Over your working life this equates to 25,000 dollars for every Israeli. Instead of funding Israeli State terrorism this money could have been spent on a universal health service for you and your family. The first time the name was used was in 70 A.D. when the Romans committed genocide against the Jews, smashed the Temple and declared the land of Israel would be no more. From then on, the Romans promised, it would be known as Palestine. The name was derived from the Philistines, a Goliathian people conquered by the Jews centuries earlier.
